Boudoir album design software, with control built in

Boudoir is a premium, intimate product, and discretion is part of what the client is paying for. The fewer places sensitive images have to travel, and the more control you keep over the final file, the better the experience you can promise.

Cuppafolio is boudoir album design software where the deliverable is unambiguously yours. You design elegant, restrained spreads in the browser and export a print-ready PDF you own. There is no platform print pipeline the images get routed through and no per-album unlock standing between you and the file.

What sets us apart

The difference is in what we deliberately leave out.

A narrow tool, an honest deal, and a file that is genuinely yours.

You own the export

Every album leaves as a print-ready PDF with no watermark and no per-album unlock fee. It is a real deliverable you keep, not a file held hostage.

Any lab, no markup

We do not print or fulfil anything. Your PDF goes to the album supplier you already trust, with no print margin quietly skimmed along the way.

One flat price

From £19 a month, busy season or quiet. No counting albums, no metered exports, nothing to reconcile at the end of the month.

Refined design, full control of the file

The aesthetic for boudoir is usually understated: strong single images, considered negative space, nothing cluttered. Cuppafolio's templates support that restraint, and snapping keeps the composition exact.

The control point is ownership. The album exports as a standard PDF that downloads to you and stays with you, so you decide entirely how and where it is printed and how it reaches the client.

The problem

Boudoir clients trade in trust

The album step should be the fun part. Too often the tooling gets in the way.

Tools that route sensitive images through bundled storefronts and fulfilment partners

Albums that live inside someone else's platform, not in your control or your client's

Pricing that drifts with volume on a low-volume premium product

The Cuppafolio way

A focused tool that does the album job brilliantly.

Everything you need for the album, nothing you don't, and the finished file is always yours.

Discretion by design

We do not fulfil — so we never see the print.

Cuppafolio is not a print lab and has no fulfilment partner. The PDF leaves your account and goes only to the lab you personally chose. Sensitive imagery does not transit a marketplace, a storefront or a third-party printer that you did not vet.

Yours, not ours

The album file is in your hands.

Export a 300 DPI sRGB PDF and the file is yours to archive, send to the client or destroy. There is no watermark, no per-album unlock and no copy held in a fulfilment queue waiting to be processed.

Restrained templates

Layouts that match the tone of the work.

Single-image and elegant two-image spreads designed for intimate boudoir imagery — generous white space, considered margins, no clutter. The design supports the image rather than fighting it.

Flat pricing

One monthly price. No per-album fees.

From £19/month. Design as many albums as your plan allows for the same price every month, with no surprise charge when a busy season hits.

What a strong boudoir album needs

A boudoir album is sold on craftsmanship, so it needs gallery-grade print output and a workflow that respects the sensitivity of the work.

Cuppafolio gives you press-ready files you control end to end, with no third-party fulfilment in the loop.

  • Restrained, elegant single-image templates
  • 300 DPI, sRGB output with embedded fonts
  • A print-ready PDF you own and route yourself
  • Predictable flat pricing for a low-volume product

Questions

Good questions, straight answers.

Does Cuppafolio fulfil or print the album for me?

No, and that is the point. Cuppafolio is design-only. We do not have a print lab, a print partner or any kind of bundled fulfilment. The PDF you export leaves Cuppafolio when you send it to the lab you have personally chosen, and the image content goes only to that lab.

Where do my boudoir images sit while I design?

Inside your Cuppafolio account on private infrastructure used only for your projects. They are not surfaced in a gallery, a marketplace or a print store, because Cuppafolio is none of those things. When the album is delivered you can delete the project to remove the images from our systems.

Can I keep a project off any shared studio access?

Yes. Solo plans (£19/month) are a single-photographer account, so the project is only accessible to you. Studio (£39/month) and Agency (£79/month) plans add shared access for studio teams; on those, you can leave sensitive projects unshared so they stay visible only to the photographer who owns them.

Are the export specs right for fine-art boudoir labs?

Cuppafolio exports at 300 DPI in sRGB with 3 mm bleed, embedded fonts and optional crop marks — the standard fine-art and boudoir-specialist labs expect. The file is a regular PDF, so it works at every UK, US and European lab you might use for premium album binding.

What if a client asks me to delete their images later?

Deleting the Cuppafolio project removes the images and the album layout from our systems. The PDF you exported is a separate file held by you and the client (and the lab, if you sent it), so honouring a deletion request after delivery is straightforward: delete the project here, then delete any local copies per your studio policy.

Where do the images go when I design?

They go into your private Cuppafolio project so you can design the album, and the finished album exports as a PDF you download and own. We do not print or fulfil, so the images are not passed to a third-party print pipeline.

Do I control how the album is printed?

Completely. You export a standard print-ready PDF and send it to whichever lab you choose, on your terms. There is no forced fulfilment and no per-album unlock.
